As part of BrightPath’s commitment, we provide holistic education to include the physical, psychological, social and emotional development of a child. Our programs change frequently throughout the year to promote diversity, keep the interest of the child, and establish a love of arts and fitness in a variety of disciplines. Children will experience music programming, movement & fitness programming, and/or other creative programming.
The inter-curricular program is inclusive in the tuition fees.
It’s no surprise that studies have proven that getting children moving isn’t just good for health, but it also boosts cognitive skills, academic performance and mental well-being. BrightPath’s proprietary physical literacy program, WeeMove™, was developed around this research. Children in the program will master essential movement skills that are invaluable into reading their environment, making appropriate decisions and be more confident and controlled in various physical activities long-term.
WeeMove™ is designed to engage the child on multiple levels, to make learning fun and instill a love of movement. Set to music and generally taught outdoors, all children will participate in this program twice a day, four days a week.
BrightPath's Summer program, Discovery Zone, allows preschool and older children to take a break from the regular curriculum. Children will enjoy an active week making new friends and being engaged through variations of sensory explorations through the program that inspire learning. Our Discovery Zone program has engaging weekly themes and a tailored program for toddler to kindergarten aged children. The infant programs continue throughout the summer as usual.
The summer program is offered with the same benefits that our families have come to expect and enjoy year-round.
KidZone is a fun and interactive space reserved for our school-aged children, six to 12 years. Kids can explore their interests in various zones such as Theatre, Science, Building, Creativity, and Tech. It’s their choice! At this age, children have developed their own sense of creativity and style of learning. They will enjoy self-directed programs that complement what they learn in school, with the guidance and encouragement of BrightPath educators.
Unwind after school with friends, get a head start on homework, or engage in one of our many Zones. Whether your student’s passion is dance, science, or sports, we have a fun and safe space designed for them to discover through independent learning.
Partners in Parenting - powered by BrightPath - facilitates learning opportunities that strengthen families and their connection to communities. Our workshops provide information on topics relevant to families during the various stages of a child’s growth. This program is intended to lead to the overall positive development of children, families, and the greater community.
The Partners in Parenting workshops are provided at no charge on behalf of BrightPath and are open to BrightPath families and the public. Light snacks and refreshments are provided.
BrightPath Studios offers premium programs for the whole family. We offer small class sizes led by passionate and enthusiastic instructors and most importantly – a fun and encouraging environment.
We also believe that at the younger ages, children should be able to experience a variety of programs in a year, which is why we offer compact 12-week sessions. Choose from a variety of fitness as well as learning classes. Examples of classes include Karate, Sports Jam, Jr. Mathletes, Circus Acro, Reading, and Princess Ballet.
Instructors for BrightPath Studios are employed as BrightPath staff, and follow the same prerequisites as regular program educators.

Two-way communication between our school and parents is paramount for the healthy development of the child.
All families have complimentary access to BrightPath Connect™ to further support the interaction between the Centre and our families. This mobile application enables teachers to connect real-time with children's parents through messages, developmental reports, daily routines, and even photos. This further enhancement in communication will keep you up-to-date on your child's well-being, development and social interaction while at BrightPath.
Our kindergarten programs are diverse, teaching children foundational academic skills such as arithmetic, reading and writing while also reinforcing the importance of friendship, respect and responsibility.
We follows the Alberta Education Curriculum and public school calendar. Our program uses the "Handwriting without Tears" teaching, along with animated literacy. All of our teachers are Alberta Certified. There is no cost to families, as it is funded by the provincial government.
Through Marlborough Day Nursery ECS Limited, we offer Kindergarten on-site at several Calgary & area BrightPath locations. Spaces are limited, and kindergarten-aged children that are enrolled in one of our centres are given priority registration.
